Re: TinyIOx & Spartan2 OEM I2C questions

I'm interested too using the i2c spartan2 oem with 4.9 lsu. Also, on the 14point7 website, they suggest for new designs to use the spartan module instead of the slc oem....

Re: TinyIOx release 0.2.0

This code can't be ported to the iox?
I'm interested to connect to the iox the slc oem 4.9 via i2c, and the addition of a display is really nice...

Re: Controlling a Subaru DCCD differential

Second one here :)
And i think that as a standalone controller would interest some people. Would be nice to allow log of the sensors connected to this board (manual/auto duty, handbrake, accelerometers, brake, current, etc) to the ms3 via can...

Re: Controlling a Subaru DCCD differential

For sure the current sensing method is the best one, but alone can't detect a fault at low or 0% duty (too small current)... Then it need a curve on dc vs average current for check if it's within limits.

Re: Controlling a Subaru DCCD differential

For driving the coil, vnd10n06? it's the same as the vnd05 used for injector in ms3x, but capable of 10a.

Re: Controlling a Subaru DCCD differential

Uhm, 2 way analog multiplexer, when pwm is off sensing tension on fet side, when pwm is on sensing current. Or 2 separated analog inputs...

Re: Controlling a Subaru DCCD differential

And simply measuring tension on the fet side? If the coil is burned we never have 12v while the coil is turned off. Obviously not work with high duty.
I like the idea to use the tinyiox :)

Re: Controlling a Subaru DCCD differential

It may use the interpolation functions already in the code, the only big requirement i think that will be of ram, that commercial controller that i've used as example uses 3 tables 10x10 of 1 byte data (dc can go from 0 to 100% on main table and -100/+100 on "modifier" tables), plus 2 10 byte tables...

Controlling a Subaru DCCD differential

I'm studiyng how can be controlled a subaru DCCD (and maybe others...) electronic differential. The differential is a simple coil, energized by a 100hz signal with variable duty. More is the duty and more is the lock of the differential. On the OEM system the control can be manual (the driver select...

Re: MPU-6050 support

Thanks Jean! I'm happy that you are interested on it. I was not much happy of the current accelerometer setup that i have via adc an 6g sensor, too low resolution, via i2c will be perfect, with a lot more functions. Your iox is a perfect expansion for ms systems (i have 2 of them :) ) In any case th...

MPU-6050 support

Hi! I'm using the iox-oem module in my car, there is connected (with a lot of other things) a 3 axis accelerometer. Will be interesting to sample also gyroscopic information. As sensor i've tought about this: http://www.invensense.com/products/motion-tracking/6-axis/mpu-6050/ it's cheap and widely u...

Thanks jean, hope that you find the bug so the next release is published :) Little note, i've had the firmware issue without changing the gps state, i've only enabled the serial passthrough and the fw gone crazy. I wasn't able to access to the gps module, and also the iox wasn't anymore recognized (...

Re: Accelerometer sensitivity

If you have other linear sensors, you could do the same thing and have 12-bit resolution. That may not be necessary in most cases but you know it is supported. Jean The 4x division is due to the ms that expects a 10 bit value? The sensor is an LM35, 10mv/°c, so the 5v value must be 500 (that i used...
