Re: peak and hold driver transistor insulation
My kit only came with 4 mica insulators. I ordered a 5th from digikey for the TIP24C, and found that my voltage was much more stable. I had the board mounted to my MS2 case which is grounded to the MS2.

Re: P&H board v1.1b INJ4 constantly switched on
Turns out I did have a few heat sinks touching the case. Isolating them properly cleaned this up!

Re: P&H v1.1b Q1 is grounding all injectors to MS case
I figured it out! Turns out that all the TIP121's were fried. Ordered some compatible TIP122's from DigiKey and BOOM!
I was able to rule them as the issue when I had voltage at the base when testing the LM1949n's.
The lm1949n datasheet was extremely helpful.

I ruled out Q1 as an issue. I really wish Jean were around. I could use the schematic.

Re: P&H v1.1b Q1 is grounding all injectors to MS case
Also, I have tested without the driver board using LEDs on a bread board, and I'm getting proper 5v signals on each injector. So basically, none of them are working through the board. I did make the mistake of grinding off part of the screw attached to the heat sink with a dremmel. Is it possible I ...

Not yet.Have you resolved your problems?
Yes. All 4 are grounded and aren't working.Did the problem appear on all 4 injection channels?
I'll checkout the links. Thanks!

P&H v1.1b Injector Impedence
Can the following injectors be driven by the v1.1b board?

I measured the resistance, and they're around 3ohm. I have the injectors protected by a 5A fuse.

P&H v1.1b Q1 is grounding all injectors to MS case
Hi Jean, My injectors stopped working, so I put my MS2 on the JimStim to troubleshoot. I noticed that all of the injector grounds were grounding to my MS case. On a hunch I disconnected Q1 from my MS case and the injector grounds are no longer grounding at the case. What would cause this to happen? ...

Re: DSM CAS 24/1 Wheel Pattern
NVM. It worked! Like an complete noob, I had 4g72 selected on the DIP (456 ON). I replaced 4g63 in the wheel patterns file. Once I selected 4g63 on the DIP (23 ON) it worked!

Re: DSM CAS 24/1 Wheel Pattern
So I attempted to replace the stock 4g63 pattern in the text file with my 24/1 pattern above, but it didn't appear to work. Here's the output in my command prompt: C:\Users\Joseph Spencer\Desktop>wheel_converter.exe wheels_default.jsw foo.jsr COM3 9600 Signature: JimStim format V2.0.4 ********* whee...

DSM CAS 24/1 Wheel Pattern
Hi Jean, I'm following the directions in the docs for wheel upgrade . I have a 24/1 high res trigger disk that I'd like to simulate with the JimStim. Here is the wheel that I'm using: https://yoshifab.com/store/images/cache/casdiskdsm.500.jpg I'm familiar with reading C code, so I think all I have t...

Speedometer Board
Hi Jean, I've found several write ups on using a speedometer with a Frequency to Voltage converter circuit. The controller that's typically recommended is this one by Texas Instruments (LM2917) . Here is an example circuit that uses it . While purchasing the converter isn't that big of a deal, creat...

Re-purposing injector pins on DB37 MS2/Extra 3.57 PCB P&H
With the P&H v1.1b driver board and MS2/Extra on a 3.57 PCB, I'd like to re-purpose the original injector pins on the DB37. Is this possible? I'd like to use them for ADC or switch input.
Also, is it possible to remove a few of the MOSFETS on the 3.57 PCB with sequential?

Re: P&H board v1.1b INJ4 constantly switched on
OK. Remounted Q5 and now I show around 200 mV from 5v to INJ4. Is that normal? Could that be stored capacitance or did I fry the MOSFET?

Re: P&H board v1.1b INJ4 constantly switched on
OK. Mounting tab of Q5 to 5v ground showed an OHM value of ~ 186 on my multimeter. The rest all showed greater than 2.5 K OHM. I'll re-mount Q5 to the case and ensure there are no burs touching the screw.

P&H board v1.1b INJ4 constantly switched on
After assembling my board and wiring it up to my MS2 card, INJ4 was constantly on. I verified that the jumper wires each had 12 Volts. Any help would be appreciated. Cranking my cam/tach input lit up the LEDS on INJ1-3.
