Re: TinyIOx ADC inputs
I didn't know about those displays. And there is not a typical I2C setup which is actually specific to each I2C device. It's just that these displays use the correct chip and also have the correct board layout. So they are basically clones of the Adafruit displays which I support in the TIOx code. I...

Re: mounting Tiox
You can install it inside your MS3 case and you can mount it on the top or bottom half of the case. With an MS3X, you have to check carefully where you located it so that you don't have any interference with all the boards especially once you add conditioner circuits to the TIOx proto area; you defi...

Re: 4 channel V1.1 Logic Ms2 v3 d585 coils
Using 100 Ohm resistors with D585 coils should work. The lower resistors are needed with VW coils. So if you don't plan on changing coils, you can keep the 100 Ohm resistors.

Re: 4 channel V1.1 Logic Ms2 v3 d585 coils
Barolorot, There is a post on the ms forum that describes all the components you need for the board: https://www.msextra.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=69167&p=525612#p525612 Note that for D585 coils (logic level coils), you will not install Q1 to Q4 and R1 to R4. You will need all the other compo...

Re: TinyIOx ADC inputs
Scott,
The offsets are shown in the ini file in the OutputChannels section. And remember that the numbering on the TIOx will not necessarily be the same as the one on the MS3 so the ini file for the TIOx shows the its numbering.

Re: TinyIOx ADC inputs
First, I've split that from the overall TIOx topic because it has specific questions. The calibration you mention is specific to the LED displays and not intended to be used for generic calibration of ADC inputs. Since you're not using LED displays (I assume since your TunerStudio project is MS3 onl...

Re: Tunerstudio/IOx Port settings
Actually, I should add a bit more on the ports. Their setup when used with an MS3 should be done such that ports 1 and 2 are outputs with 8 digital signals and port 3 is an input with 8 digital signals (the other options are again legacy options for use with the MS2). Then you can assign any free po...

Re: Tunerstudio/IOx Port settings
The ports are for digital I/Os. So you have up to 24 of them over 3 ports (3 ports x 8 bits). What is confusing is that for legacy reasons they can also be used as 3 single 8 bit values when connected to an MS2. So if you're not using any digital input or output then you need to leave then disabled....

Re: Tunerstudio/IOx Port settings
This is the pin out for your board as is shown on the web site: http://jbperf.com/io_extender/db37_v1_1.png So ADC1 is on pin 24 and ADC2 is on pin 20. This is what you say you used so that is fine. However, your settings are not correct because you enabled ADC1 and ADC5. You need to enable ADC1 and...

Re: Input VSS1 miata nb
The pull up won't have that effect and removing it would require someone who is familiar with reworking a surface mount board. Since you are getting a signal into the MS3 and getting some data from it, that is almost certainly a wrong configuration of the MS3 settings. I would recommend posting on t...

Re: Hello from Florida!
You can copy what is done on the Megasquirt board V3.0. Check the MS2 manual: http://www.msextra.com/doc/pdf/html/MS2V30_Hardware-3.4.pdf/MS2V30_Hardware-3.4-168.html. That only covers part of the sensors but you will need to provide more details. Also the EGT circuit can be this one: http://www.mse...

Re: Full seq injectors, but 2-3 batch fire plugs - Is this correct??
This does not seem to be a JimStim issue and you are just seeing what the MS3 is commanding. So it would be better to post on the msextra forum where you will get a lot more views. You will need to also post your msq (tune) file and a short datalog showing the issue.

Marco,
You should try contacting James Murray who is user jsmcortina on the msextra forum. He would know if there are any European alternatives.

Re: Hello from Florida!
Powering the TIOx from the Microsquirt is not really recommended because of the very limited current capacity of the Microsquirt power supply (not the electronic components but rather the limited heat dissipation capacity). So it would be much better to use a separate power supply to provide 5V. You...

Re: data drop with 3x tinyiox and ms3pro module v1.5x?
Can you post your msq and the actual log file? That might give me some idea on what is going on. And you might want to move this over to the msextra forum since it very much looks like an MS3 issue (either setting or bug).
