Running 2 injector drivers on 1 injector ?

Jean,
Can you double up on the drivers dual input and dual output to run the big Moran injectors ?

That way it would be a 2/8 driver. We may have discussed this before but I don't remember.

The way to double the peak and hold current is to change the current sense resistor and the transistor. For a 8A/2A peak/hold current setup, you would need a 0.05 Ohm sense resistor and something like a TIP142 for the transistor. You can use this current sense resistor.

You also have to plan on providing some additional cooling capacity because you will more than double the amount of heat generated per driver. So you will need a good heat sink and make sure that the is some air going over it.

i will be running the low impedance moran injectors also. will i have to do the same? why are you needing two drivers for one injector.

From what I can see on their web site, the Moran injectors need a 4A/1A peak/hold current which is what you get with my boards. So there is no need to change anything or double up the drivers.

If your injectors needs a different peak and hold current, you would need to change the sense resistor as mentioned.
