P&H boards and parts availability

Are boards currently in stock?
Are there any problems with supply chain for the BOM?

Will going this route escape me from the ongoing problems with the MS3Pro Ultimate?
I know it worked great in my circle racer, way back when.

The v1.1 boards are in stock but I only sell the bare boards now and you have to procure the components yourself. I haven't checked for all components but the LM1949 is in stock at Digikey and Mouser; the other components have alternatives.

I have no idea what the MS3Pro problems are. But to use the v1.1 board with it, you will need to have an enclosure and add a 5V supply and inverters for the inputs.

Will 2 P&H boards fit in the lid of a MS3 V3.0 MS3X case?

I am doing a 598" drag motor with low impedance injectors.
I want
data logging
Racepak dash interface
2 step rev limiter
bump box (trans brake control)
Log wheel (F&R) speeds
Time based timing control (for traction control)
Coil on plug (logic level)
Fan control
Electric water pump control
Crank triggered

I don't have an MS3X available to check it at this time but I don't think you can fit 2 boards with the MS3X board and all the required wiring inside the standard case. And that would also generate quite a bit of heat.

The best setup I've seen for 2 p&h boards and a standard MS3X is this (I'd like to tell you whose setup this is but I don't have the information; hopefully he is ok with this and I'll add the information if/when I get it):

Oh, that is very nice. Come to think of it I have a large chunk of heat sink material ....

Have these drivers been used with Billet Atomizers or equivalent?

This will be a Drag Race application so I don't expect heat related issues, as the run time is fairly short.

Would this be as robust as say a Haltech P&H module?
Is there something else I should be looking at?

These drivers are designed for injectors that need a 4A/1A peak/hold current and that's exactly what is needed for the Billet Atomizers. I don't personally have any experience with them and usually I don't get details of what the boards are used for. But I do get feedback when there are problems and I never heard any problem for those injectors.

And this is a DIY project so I cannot really compare with a manufacturer assembled unit. But the chip used in the circuit is designed for driving injectors and the circuit is a proven one so this can be as reliable and robust as an MS3 kit. I know that it has been succesfully used on a multi-engine tractor puller setup.

I don't think there is much more to be looking at other than the normal kit assembly things.

The linked Digikey BOM delivers a 404 message.

The xls BOM was really old.
Had more than a couple obsolete part #s
I made substitutions for all that were offered.
Except for the FC-302-T 3A Diode which Digi Key offered no substitution.

Mouser was able to translate only a few of the Digikey numbers. So that was a dead end.

I have uploaded the new Digikey list with substitutions, however the 3A diode is missing as there was not substitute offered.
Can you review this list to verify my substitutions are correct, and offer a substitute for the 3A diode?

I will repost a final copy of the new BOM for you to include on the web page for future use.
Note that this BOM is for an 8Cyl and I deleted the common hardware and extra insulators and used the Kit form insulated mount.

That looks fine. The FR302 or FR303 is available from Mouser from different manufacturers (the FR303 has a 200V reverse voltage instead of the 100V for the FR302 but 100V is sufficient). This link will give you plenty of choices for a replacement from Digikey.

Also, it is basically the same as D5 and D7 on a V3.0 MS board so you can use whatever is used for it now.

As for using Mouser, were you trying to use the manufacturer or generic part number or the Digikey number? Because I seem to be able to find everything on Mouser using your list (and FR303 or FR302). The 0.1 Ohm resistor is not in stock but this one is: LOB3R100FLF. And it is cheaper.
