Dual VR board...

Postby toonz » Sat Jul 05, 2014 8:53 am

Ok, so I got my MS3 v3.0 all done into my subaru using the 6/7 trigger and I was wondering if it absolutely needed to run or install a VR conditioner board for the CAM signal? Don't want head aches... and is the v2.1 the most recent and complete VR board? Anything extra needed?

Thanks

I'm sorry but I'm not sure of the details of the Subaru setup but I do know that the board has been used successfully. Using the board for both the crank and cam signals is probably the easiest thing to do and will give the best results. As for other components, the only thing you will need is a pull up resistor if one of the sensor is a Hall sensor; a 1k to 10k would work. Some VR sensor setups also need a shunt resistor (resistor between VR+ and VR-) which also works with a 1k to 1ok resistor.

p.s. No need to also PM me the same message.

I just recently moved to Quebec so that's a bit further away. And I'm still not quite ready to start shipping boards again but that should slowly get back to normal in the coming week. The web page will have the Paypal button back when I'm ready for new orders.

A quick question .... with a resistor inline on the Cam + and a shunt accross the + & - will it still run with out a Dual VR board in the meantime?

Probably but that depends on the resistor value and the sensor.

Stock sensor... I have a wack load of resistors so I'll play around with that in the mean time. I'll check daily when you're ready to ship out the dual vr and I'll end up getting one anyways. Thanks Jean
