PWM install-

Postby Joe » Fri Jun 24, 2011 12:14 am

MSIII Board v3

Looking to gain a higher HZ on Fidle, don't need the tip122.

Was thinking of removing r19 and wiring the PWM converter without the Tip122 but a couple of questions-

1) If I use Fidle with the PWM converter installed and don't need the PWM function will the circuit function normally?
(Just basic on/off)

2)Removing r19 (1k from processor to ZTX450) should I install a 1k from the MSIII to PWM board in and a 1k from the TIP122 base to the ZTX450? (Tip122 not installed)

Just going to do some experimenting.
Thanks,

Joe

The PWM converter will provide an on or an off output signal if that is what it gets as input. There may be a slight delay (less than a second) since the code has to wait a certain period to make sure the input is not a PWM signal.

And you don't need a resistor outside the board for either the input (from MS3 to the PWM board) or the output (to the base of the transistor). There are two 1K resistors on board for that.
