TinyIOx PWM out as a PWM input for another circuit

Post by jsiedlicki » Sat Mar 03, 2018 3:40 pm

I plan to use the generic PWM with Timer2 channel 1 output as the input for a digital to analog converter integrated circuit chip. The DAC PWM input can accept an input PWM signal between 30Hz and 100kHz and -0.3V - 6V. In this application is a driver circuit using a resistor and transistor between the TIOx and the DAC still needed or do I simply need a 5V pullup using a 1k resistor between the two?

I assume that this chip will be in the same box as the TIOx and use the same power and ground. In that case, you can directly connect the PWM output to this new chip; there is no need for a pullup or another driver circuit.

Yes, same box, same power and ground.

Thanks for the fast reply!
